This project is being funded under the Labour-Management Partnerships Program (LMPP), which is administered by the Labour Program of Human Resources and Skills Development Canada. "The development of good labour relations is in the best interest of Canada," said Mr. Proulx. "Through the LMPP, the Government of Canada is pleased to support research that will help labour and management in their co-operative efforts to improve Canadian workplaces." The Labour-Management Partnerships Program is a national contribution program that is designed to encourage effective labour-management relations in the workplace and at the sectoral and national levels. LMPP funding covers up to one half of the cost of a project to a maximum of $100,000. A recent independent evaluation report confirms that the Labour-Management Partnerships Program is highly effective in serving Canadians.
