Urban search and rescue training centre opens in Calgary

Representatives from three levels of government will participate in an event to recognize federal funding and mark the grand opening of the Multi-Agency Training Centre, Calgary's urban search and rescue mobilization and training facility. The Honourable Grant Mitchell, Senator; The Honourable Rob Renner, Minister for Alberta Municipal Affairs; Calgary Deputy Mayor Craig Burrows; and Fire Chief Wayne Morris will take part in the event. The formal agenda will be followed by a ribbon cutting ceremony and a structural collapse rescue demonstration. Dignitaries will be available to the media following the event and demonstration.
