Governor General to attend the 146th running of The Queen's plate

OTTAWA – Her Excellency the Right Honourable Adrienne Clarkson, Governor General of Canada, and His Excellency John
Ralston Saul will attend the 146th running of The Queen's Plate at Woodbine Racetrack (555 Rexdale Blvd.) in Toronto, Ontario,
on Sunday, June 26, 2005, at 2:30 p.m. The Governor General will present the prize to the owner of the winning horse after
the race.
The Queen's Plate is Canada's premier race for three-year-old, Canadian-bred horses, and is also the oldest continuously
run stakes race in North America.
