OTTAWA, June 14, 2005 -- Never underestimate the power of a letter! Changing public policy, recording events that aren't found in history books and keeping love alive across continents, are just a few of the ways a letter can inspire. This summer, Canadians are invited to be inspiring by mail with 'Letters of Inspiration' to the Canadian Idol competitors. The author of the most inspiring letter, as judged by CTV, will win a trip to Toronto to spend time with the Canadian Idol competitors on the set of Canada's biggest TV series! Canadians are invited to send their inspirational letters to the Idol competitors before August 12, 2005. The winner will receive an all-expenses paid trip to Toronto (for themselves and a friend) and appear in an episode of Canadian Idol during the week of August 22. Some of the best letters may be read on-air. Canadians cast more than 32 million votes for their favourite performers over the course of the series.
