Canadian Forces to Show the Flag at Major League Baseball All-Star Game

OTTAWA -- Canadian Forces members from Canada's National Capital Region and Windsor, Ont. will participate in pre-game ceremonies for the Major League Baseball All-Star game in Detroit, MI. on Tuesday, 12 July starting at 8 p.m. EDT.
In symmetry with their American counterparts, 50 CF members from the National Capital Region will hold a massive Canadian flag, flanked by an additional 15 CF members from the Windsor area holding Canadian flags on poles.
The 50 Canadian participants were selected from among the Navy, Army, Air Force and Department of National Defence directorate personnel in the National Capital Region who have voluntarily supported the numerous ceremonies in the past year, that are a necessary part of military life in Canada's capital. The Selfridge Air National Guard Base Joint Color Guard is our American counterpart.
