OTTAWA, August 22, 2005 -- From Tuesday, August 23, to Friday, August 26, the Honourable David L. Emerson, Minister of Industry, will visit Regina and Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, and Winnipeg, Manitoba.
The Minister will attend Liberal caucus meetings in Regina from August 23-25 and the Cabinet planning session in Winnipeg on August 26. These will be closed meetings.
In addition, on August 23, the Minister will visit Regina and Saskatoon, where he will join the Honourable Ralph Goodale, Minister of Finance, in discussing Canada's economic agenda with the Regina & District Chamber of Commerce and the Greater Saskatoon Chamber of Commerce.
On August 25, Minister Emerson will travel to Winnipeg, where he will make a major Genome Canada funding announcement.
