En route to the 37th Festival international de la chanson de Granby: The Government of Canada is on board

OTTAWA, August 24, 2005 -- Minister of Canadian Heritage and Minister responsible for Status of Women Liza Frulla today announced $70,000 in funding for the Réseau national des galas de la chanson. The funds will enable six winners of the main Canadian French-language song competitions to participate in the semifinals of the 37th Festival international de la chanson de Granby (FICG), which are set to take place in September."The Festival international de la chanson de Granby represents a unique opportunity for our young artists to meet, enjoy some unforgettable moments, and gain extremely valuable experience in the singer-songwriter field," said Minister Frulla.
