Loading of DART Equipment and Supplies

OTTAWA – Following Prime Minister Martin’s announcement that the Disaster Assistance Response Team (DART) is deploying to Pakistan, media are invited to attend the loading of an Antonov AN-225 "Mriya", the world's largest cargo aircraft which has been secured by the CF to move the DART equipment and supplies.
The aircraft is scheduled to arrive at 8 Wing Trenton, Ont., today at approximately 5 p.m. Pierre Pettigrew, Minister of Foreign Affairs will be on hand and available to speak with the media at approximately 4 pm.
All events will be coordinated from the passenger terminal at 8 Wing Trenton. Media must contact the 8 Wing Public Affairs Officer in order to gain access to the aircraft.
