Toronto -- The Canadian Hockey League today announced the continuation of the Canada Post Cup three stars program for the 2005-06 CHL season.

There are three segments of the program and the top player for each segment in each division of the three leagues will receive a $100 donation from Canada Post for their league's education program.
The overall winner from each league at the conclusion of the 2005-06 season, will be recognized at the CHL Awards Ceremony and Canada Post will donate $2,500 in each winner's name to their respective league education program. Canada Post will be donating more than $10,000 to the league educational programs through this event.

"Our league educational programs are a very important building block for the student-athletes that compete in the Canadian Hockey League and we are very proud to continue this outstanding program with Canada Post," said CHL President David Branch. "This program provides us with a fantastic opportunity to partner with Canada Post to recognize some of the CHL's brightest stars while contributing to our league education programs."
Bob Waite, senior vice-president of Communications and Stakeholder Relations, added that the company was pleased to be partnering with the CHL again this year. "Canada Post is proud to support the CHL's education program. This initiative not only supports the players and their pursuit of higher education, it also brings an important awareness to the overall importance of education to the fans who enjoy the game. It's a program that makes the grade with players and fans."
Canadian Controlled Media Communications (CCMC), the CHL's exclusive sales agency, facilitated the partnership, which also included regional in-ice logos in team venues and partner level sponsorship of the CHL's major special events.
