OTTAWA, ON –Canadian Forces Personnel will be energized by visitors from home. Canadian Forces (CF) Show Tours, featuring a group of Canadian performers, will visit the Middle East from December 6 th to 16 th while a second group of performers head off to Canadian Forces Station (CFS) Alert from December 9 th to 16 th . Show Tours to deployed operations and remote locations in Canada are a part of the morale and welfare programs organized by the Canadian Forces Personnel Support Agency.
Featuring Matt Minglewood, the Middle East Show Tour makes two stops in ten days. The show will open with a dance troop followed by Comedian and Emcee Terry McGurrin. Matt Minglewood will perform two sets for the Canadian and multinational troops invited to take in the show. Produced by Gestion Bazinet, the Middle East Show Tour maintains a mix of pop/rock, country, dance and comedy.
On the Middle East Show Tour, Minglewood is joined by Terry McGurrin, Luisa Marshall, Guylaine Tanguay, Mike Stevens and Lisa Cameron.
The CFS Alert Show Tour gets off to a start with a classic high-energy Celtic feel with artist Allison Granger. Annette Ducharme will perform classic cover songs and Lisa Brokop and Aaron Prtichett will end the show with a rock/country medley. Mike MacDonald, host and comedian, will entertain troops throughout the show.
CFPSA has a long tradition of providing Show Tours to CF members serving overseas and in isolated locations. Over the course of a six-month rotation, a CF Show Tour plays an important part in major operations and is always a big morale booster, bringing a small piece of Canada to deployed military personnel.
