FINTRAC Launches F2R, a new Web Based Reporting Tool

February 6, 2006 -- FINTRAC has launched a new reporting mechanism called F2R. F2R is an online application that is
hosted by FINTRAC and provides reporting entities with a reliable mechanism to file reports securely through the Internet.
This secure, online tool will facilitate the reporting of financial transactions for the many individuals and
businesses that are obliged to do so under the Proceeds of Crime (Money Laundering) and Terrorist Financing Act.
It will also simplify the reporting process for reporting entities and ensure that FINTRAC receive the highest quality
information for the detection and deterrence of money laundering and terrorist activity financing.

Created in 2000, FINTRAC is an independent agency responsible for the collection, analysis, and disclosure of financial
intelligence in order to assist in the detection, prevention, and deterrence of money laundering and terrorist financing in
Canada and abroad.
