The Transportation Safety Board of Canada to Release its Preliminary 2005 Transportation Occurrence Statistics

(Gatineau, Quebec, February 20, 2006) - The Transportation Safety Board of Canada (TSB) will release, on February 21, 2006, its preliminary 2005 transportation occurrence statistics. These statistics allow the Board to identify trends in each transportation mode.
When: February 21, 2006, starting at 10:00 a.m. (Eastern standard time)
The TSB is an independent agency that investigates marine, pipeline, railway and aviation transportation occurrences. Its sole aim is the advancement of transportation safety. It is not the function of the Board to assign fault or determine civil or criminal liability.
