Minister O'Connor visiting local troops in Manitoba and Alberta

OTTAWA — Defence Minister Gordon O’Connor is traveling to Shilo, Man. today and Edmonton, Alta. tomorrow to visit with local troops at both locations.
“Having proudly worn the uniform for 32 years, I learned very quickly that the Canadian Forces is a big family,” said Minister O’Connor. “This visit reiterates my support, and the support of this government for the very important mission in Afghanistan and for the fantastic work that the courageous men and women of the Canadian Forces are doing.”
Minister O’Connor will hold media availabilities at 1 Royal Canadian Horse Artillery at Canadian Forces Base Shilo today at 2:00 p.m. local time, and the Harvey Building, Edmonton Garrison tomorrow March 22 at 11:00 a.m. local time respectively.
