Tax tip: You get an extra day to file your return!

Did you know…
This year, because April 30 falls on a Sunday, you have until midnight on May 1, 2006, to file your 2005 income tax return either electronically or on paper. If you have a balance owing, you will avoid being charged a late-filing penalty by sending us your return by May 1.
If you or your spouse or common-law partner is self-employed, you have until midnight on June 15, 2006, to file your return. However, you still have to pay amounts owing by May 1, 2006.
