Governor General to receive honorary doctorate from University of Ottawa

OTTAWA -- Her Excellency the Right Honourable Michaëlle Jean, Governor General of Canada, will receive an honorary doctorate from the Faculty of Arts of the University of Ottawa on Monday, June 5, 2006, at 7:30 p.m., in the Southam Hall of the National Arts Centre. The Governor General will deliver the keynote address during the spring convocation ceremony. It is the first honorary doctorate conferred upon the Governor General.
