OTTAWA During the Toronto International Film Festival, Their Excellencies the Right Honourable Michaëlle Jean, Governor General of Canada, and Mr. Jean-Daniel Lafond will take part in the Canadian festivities marking the National Film Board's 65 years of animation cinema celebrations, of which they are patrons, on Friday, September 8, 2006. Their Excellencies will deliver remarks during the launch and screening of Norman McLaren's recently restored classics at 4:45 p.m., at the Isabel Bader Theatre. They will later attend the evening reception to be held at the Windsor Arms Hotel.
