OTTAWA-- Media are invited to attend the installation ceremony for Brigadier-General Stanley G. Johnstone, the new Chaplain General of the Canadian Forces.
Brig.-Gen. Johnstone, a Lutheran Pastor, has been selected as the new Chaplain General to the Canadian Forces and replaces Brig.-Gen. Ron Bourque, who is retiring.
The installation ceremony will be presided over by Reverend Dr. Alan Mcpherson, Chairman of the Interfaith Committee on the Canadian Military Chaplaincy and representative of the Baptist Ministry of the Canadian Forces.
Details are as follows:
When: Sunday, 24 September, 2006, at 2 p.m.
Where: St. Paul’s Presbyterian Church, 971 Woodroffe Avenue, Ottawa, Ontario.
Media Opportunities: An informal reception for guests, including media, will take place in the Church Hall following the ceremony. Brig.-Gen. Johnstone and Brig.-Gen. Bourque will be available for questions at this time.
