Minister Solberg Will Be In Winnipeg, Manitoba, On September 11

Winnipeg, September 11, 2006 — The Honourable Monte Solberg, Minister of Citizenship and Immigration, will be Winnipeg on September 11 to attend three events.
At 10:00 a.m., Minister Solberg will launch the Strategic Plan to Foster Immigration to Francophone Minority Communities.

A media availability session will be held at 10:40 a.m.
At 1:30 p.m., Minister Solberg will participate in a citizenship ceremony.

The Minister will be available to media following the ceremony.
At 3:00 p.m., there will be a photo opportunity with Minister Solberg meeting Karen refugees at Welcome Place. The refugees, from Burma, have recently arrived in Winnipeg.
