The Transportation Safety Board of Canada will Release its Final Report into the Capsizing of the Ryan's Commander (Newfoundland and Labrador, 2004)

(Gatineau, Quebec, November 17, 2006) - The Transportation Safety Board of Canada (TSB) will release, on November 20, 2006, its final investigation report (M04N0086) into the accident that occurred off the coast of Newfoundland and Labrador on September 19, 2004. The report will be released at a news conference in St. John's on Monday, November 20 at 11:00 a.m. (Newfoundland time).
The TSB Chair, one of the Board members, the Regional Manager (Marine), and a TSB Naval Architecture Specialist will present the Board's findings and provide information about the investigation. A question and answer period will follow the news conference.
The Naval Architecture Specialist will provide a technical briefing on the accident at 10:00 a.m. (Newfoundland time). Reporters will be able to review the report under embargo starting at 10:30 a.m. until the beginning of the news conference. The final report will be available on the TSB Web site at www.tsb.gc.ca at 11:00 a.m. (Newfoundland time).
