Arar Commission to Release Policy Review Report on December 12

Ottawa, December 6, 2006 The Arar Commission Report on Policy Review will be delivered
to the Governor in Council on Monday December 11, 2006.
However, due to a scheduling matter with the Commissioner, the report will be released on
Tuesday, December 12, 2006 immediately after it is tabled in the House of Commons around
10 am.
No media lockup will take place. Copies of the report will be available to the press from the
National Press Gallery, 150 Wellington, Suite 607, Ottawa and also from the Commission's
offices at 66 Slater, 17th Floor, Ottawa after it is tabled in the House.
Statement by Commissioner O'Connor and Press Conference
Dennis O'Connor, Commissioner of the Inquiry into the Actions of Canadian Officials in
relation to Maher Arar will make a public statement and will not take questions at
approximately 12 noon on Tuesday December 12, 2006 at the National Press Theater,
150 Wellington, Ottawa. The statement will be followed by a press conference by Commission
Counsel Ron Foerster and Freya Kristjanson. Documents will be available on site and will be
