The Honourable Peter MacKay, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Minister of the Atlantic
Canada Opportunities Agency, today announced the appointment of Vikram Khurana to
the Board of Directors of the Asia Pacific Foundation of Canada.
“I am pleased to welcome Mr. Khurana to the Foundation’s board,” said Minister
MacKay. “He has extensive business experience in Canadian and Asian interests, and
has been very involved in his community as well.”
The Asia Pacific Foundation of Canada is an independent, not-for-profit think tank on
Canada’s relations with Asia. The Foundation functions as a knowledge broker, bringing
together people and knowledge to provide the most current and comprehensive
research, analysis and information on Canada’s trans-Pacific relations. It promotes
dialogue on economic, security, political and social issues, helping to influence public
policy and foster informed decision making in the Canadian public, private and
non-governmental sectors.
Created in 1984 by an act of Parliament, the Asia Pacific Foundation of Canada is
funded by the Government of Canada and the Government of British Columbia.

BIOGRAPHICAL NOTE
Vikram Khurana, an engineering graduate from India, also holds a Master in Business
Administration degree from St. Mary’s University, Halifax. A resident of Toronto, he is
the founder and CEO of Prudential Consulting Inc. and has been an advisor to many
multinational companies. He has founded several India-centric enterprises, including
Leading System Consultants. Active in the community, he has most recently been
engaged in starting the Canada-India Forum.
