NOVA SCOTIA, January 26, 2007 — Officials of the Government of Canada and the Government of Nova Scotia will announce a joint agreement regarding the Sydney Tar Ponds and Coke Ovens Remediation Project.
Present will be the Honourable Michael M Fortier, Minister of Public Works and Government Services, the Honourable Peter MacKay, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Minister of the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency, Mr. Mark Warawa, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of the Environment, the Honourable Angus MacIsaac, Deputy Premier and Minister of Nova Scotia Transportation and Public Works and the Honourable Mark Parent, Minister of Nova Scotia Environment and Labour.
