OTTAWA (January 18, 2007) - Tobacco addiction is a complex issue, which affects smokers and non-smokers alike. Although smoking continues to decline in Canada, the Canadian Community Health Survey estimated that in 2005, 5.9 million people were smokers.
Several experts from the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) are available to comment on different aspects related to smoking as Canada marks National Non-Smoking Week from January 21-27.
