Minister MacKay Condemns Bomb Attack on India-Pakistan Train

The Honourable Peter MacKay, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Minister of the Atlantic
Canada Opportunities Agency, today issued the following statement in response to the
bomb blast on a train heading from New Delhi, India to Pakistan:
"The terrorist attack on the Samjhauta Express is a deplorable act of violence against
innocent civilians. We wish to extend our sympathies to the families of the victims of
Monday's attack. Such tactics will only cause more suffering. Canada strongly
condemns this act of terrorism."
