Rouyn-Noranda, Quebec, April 5, 2007 Representatives
of the media are invited to attend a news conference during which the
Honourable Jean-Pierre Blackburn, Minister of Labour and Minister of
Canada Economic Development, will announce the creation of the
Advisory Committee for the Abitibi-Témiscamingue region. This committee, composed
of regional economic stakeholders, will be tasked with providing counsel to the
Minister and the Agency he heads on regional economic matters.
