PWGSC to commemorate 90th anniversary of the Battle of Vimy Ridge

OTTAWA, April 5, 2007 – Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC) was involved in the $30 million project to restore 12 war monuments in France and Belgium. The completion of the restoration will be celebrated at the ceremony at Vimy Ridge, on April 9, 2007. This ceremony marks the 90th anniversary of the battle in which 3,598 Canadians lost their lives in the First World War.
PWGSC has recently updated its media room to add a feature story section where print-ready articles of regional and national scope are available to interested media.
