Ottawa, Ontario — April 19, 2007 — The RCMP will be holding a technical briefing highlighting two integral programs dealing with school safety — the Immediate Action Rapid Deployment (IARD) Program and School Action for Emergencies (SAFE) Program.
The technical briefing will be held in conjunction with partners including the Peel Regional Police. The SAFE Program is modeled after the Peel Regional Police’s School/Police Emergency
Action Response (S.P.E.A.R.).
