OTTAWATheir Excellencies the Right Honourable Michaëlle Jean, Governor General of Canada, and Jean-Daniel Lafond will conduct their first official visit to New Brunswick from May 14 to 18, 2007.
During their five-day visit to the province, Their Excellencies will focus their activities around the arts and culture, La Francophonie, fisheries and community life in New Brunswick. The tour will include stops in Fredericton, Caraquet, Bathurst, Shippagan and Canadian Forces Base (CFB) Gagetown.
This will be the 12th official provincial/territorial visit for the Governor General since being sworn into office.
