Canada (EDC).
“Budget 2007 enhances EDC’s ability to make strategic equity investments,” said
Minister Emerson. “Mr. Charpentier’s extensive investment experience will be a great
asset to EDC, through its Board of Directors, as it works to help more small and
medium-sized businesses in Canada to leverage opportunities abroad.”
A lawyer by trade, Mr. Charpentier is a co-founder and senior partner in the BCF
business law firm. Since 1999, Mr. Charpentier has participated in over 100 private,

Minister Emerson extends his thanks to Mr. Setlakwe for his years of exemplary
service.
