Release of audit of former Lieutenant Governor of Québec's expenses -- June 12

7 June 2007—The Auditor General of Canada, Sheila Fraser, will be releasing her report Use of Public Funds by the Former Lieutenant Governor of Québec on 12 June.
The report will be posted on the Auditor General of Canada's Web site at 10:00 a.m. on 12 June. Ms. Fraser, who will be in Ottawa, will be available for prescheduled media interviews between 11:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. that day.
The audit of the federally funded portion of the former Lieutenant Governor of Québec's expenses was done at the request of the Government of Canada. An Order in Council (no. 2007-0445) was issued in March of this year.
It is part of a joint audit undertaken with the Auditor General of Québec, who looked at all the expenses of the former Lieutenant Governor of Québec. The provincial report will be released in Québec City at 10:00 a.m. on 12 June and will be available at http://www.vgq.gouv.qc.ca.
