FREDERICTON, NEW BRUNSWICK, August 23, 2007 — The Canada Pavilion will be at the Fredericton Exhibition from September 2 to 8, 2007.
“We are pleased to be at the Fredericton Exhibition with the Canada Pavilion for the second time,” said the Honourable Michael M Fortier, Minister of Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC). “The Canada Pavilion provides an opportunity for Canadians to meet face to face with representatives from the Government of Canada and is also an excellent way for Canadians to learn more about the Government's priorities.”
Focusing on the theme Public Safety – Get Prepared, the Canada Pavilion includes many interactive activities. For example, in the event of a natural disaster, do you have what you need to be self-sufficient for at least 72 hours? With the aid of videos, demonstrations and interactive displays such as the earthquake simulator and the hurricane hologram, our representatives will explain how to get prepared. You can also meet our mascot Bravo, who will be around to entertain the young and young at heart.
Come and discover the federal programs and services available to you by visiting the Canada Pavilion at the Fredericton Exhibition.
The Canada Pavilion will stop at ten Canadian communities from coast to coast this year. As the flagship exhibit of the Government of Canada’s Exhibitions Program, the Canada Pavilion has won a number of prizes. Since its creation in 2000, the Exhibitions Program has provided information to more than six and one-half million visitors.
