New Brunswick RCMP Capture Fugitive on U.S. Marshals 15 Most Wanted List, Campbellton, N.B.

The RCMP in Campbellton, N.B. have captured one of the most wanted men in North America.
48-year old Richard Lee McNair who has been on the run since April 2006 after escaping from a federal penitentiary in Pollack, Louisiana was taken into custody following a traffic stop just before noon on October 25, 2007.
McNair led police on a short foot chase but was quickly captured without further incident.
McNair was serving three life sentences for murder, attempted murder and burglary in North Dakota when he escaped..
McNair will appear in court in Campbellton on Friday, October 26, 2007.
The RCMP will be holding a news conference to provide further details at the District 9 Restigouche-Chaleur Headquarters, 6 Arran St. in Campbellton, N.B. on Friday, October 26 at 9am.
