Reports of Auditor General of Canada and Commissioner of the Environment and Sustainable Development tabled in the House of Commons

Ottawa, 30 October 2007—The Auditor General of Canada's third Report of 2007 and the annual Report of the Commissioner of the Environment and Sustainable Development on sustainable development strategies and environmental petitions were tabled today in the House of Commons.
The titles of the chapters and accompanying news releases of the Report of the Auditor General, Sheila Fraser, are as follows:
Matters of Special Importance

Chapter 1—Safeguarding Government Information and Assets in Contracting
"Weaknesses leave sensitive information vulnerable"

A Status Report devoted to follow up audits of a wide range of environmental issues will be presented by the Commissioner in February.
