Ottawa, OntarioPrime Minister Stephen Harper today issued the following statement on the results of the election in Ontario:
"On October 10, the people of Ontario exercised their democratic right and re-elected the government of Premier Dalton McGuinty. On behalf of the Government of Canada, I congratulate Premier McGuinty on his successful campaign. Ontario is a critical economic engine of this country. Premier McGuinty has been given a mandate to address the issues of importance to all Ontarians, and I look forward to continue working with him to build a strong Ontario in a strong Canada."
