Natural Resources Canada to announce further measures to control spread of mountain pine beetle

OTTAWA – On Tuesday, December 18, Chris Warkentin, M.P.
Peace River, on behalf of the Honourable Gary Lunn, Minister of Natural
Resources Canada, will announce additional measures for an integrated approach
to mountain pine beetle monitoring and spread control in Alberta. A key goal of
this initiative is to engage in targeted spread-control measures to further
reduce beetle populations in areas at risk.
