It is with the greatest of pleasure that I extend congratulations to this year’s Canadian Oscar nominees.
Canada is privileged to have tremendously creative artists who provide entertainment for audiences at home. At the same time, they compete with the best the world has to offer, bringing our unique Canadian perspective on life to people around the world. The extent of this talent is evidenced not only by the number of Canadian Oscar nominees, but also by the range of categories in which they are contenders:
