North York, ON, March 28, 2008 – Ferrero Canada is advising consumers not to consume select Tic Tac flavours. The products affected include Tic Tac Fresh Mint and Orange flavour in 18 gg containers and 4 packs x 18 g as well as Spearmint flavour sold in 18 g containers. The recall applies to the specified products sold only in Canada with a Best Before date up to and including 09 AU 31.
The affected products may contain small pieces of plastic packaging material in the Tic Tac container. This product has been distributed nationally. Our main concern is the health and safety of our consumers. Working in conjunction with the Canadian Food Inspection Agency, we have taken immediate steps to voluntarily recall the affected products from the marketplace.
There has been one consumer complaint associated with the consumption of these products.
