Companies can receive up to $50,000 to improve their productivity
Montreal, Quebec, April 23, 2008 – The Business Development Bank of Canada (BDC) is pleased to announce that it is now one of the expert resources accredited by the Ministère du Développement économique, de l'Innovation et de l'Exportation (MDEIE) of Quebec under its new initiative to support productivity. BDC clients can now receive the financial assistance for Quebec manufacturers available from the MDEIE. This can be as much as $50,000 per company to cover the costs of carrying out productivity improvement projects.

With this accreditation, not only will we be able to continue supporting our manufacturing clients in their productivity improvement projects, we will also be able to pass on to them the financial assistance available from the MDEIE."
BDC Consulting is active across Quebec and takes a multidisciplinary approach to the projects it undertakes for its clients. It is a one-stop-shop for all the support services that qualify under the MDEIE initiative, including financial planning, marketing, production, human resources, information systems, technological innovation and product development.
Companies eligible for the MDEIE initiative
The MDEIE productivity support initiative covers a 5-year period and is available to some 240 companies per year. It targets manufacturing companies that have strong growth potential, sales of at least $1.5 million and meet the MDEIE criteria.
