Adanac Molybdenum Corporation is proposing to develop the Ruby Creek Molybdenum Mine, located approximately 35 kilometres south of the British Columbia -Yukon border in north-western BC, near the community of Atlin. The proposed development will consi ist of an open-pit mining operation with an estimated ore production capacity of 20,000 tonnes per day for a mine life of 20 years or more, and associated infrastructure including a milling facility, waste rock dumps, ore stockpiles, tailings disposal pon d (tailings impoundment area), dams required for the tailings disposal pond, diesel-fuelled power plant, maintenance shops, administration buildings, employee accommodation and access roads.
The project is subject to a comprehensive study under the Canadian Environmental Assessment Act. Fisheries and Oceans Canada, as the federal responsible authority for the project assessment, now invites the public to comment on the proposed scope of the project, the proposed factors to be considered, t he proposed scope of those factors and the ability of the comprehensive study to address issues relating to the project.

The Canadian Environmental Assessment Agency (the Agency) is making available $30,000 under its participant funding program to assist groups and individuals to take part in the environmental assessment of this proposed project.
To receive funding, successful applicants must participate in the environmental assessment process of the proposed Ruby Creek project. Funding applications received by the Agency at the address indicated below by May 3, 2008 will be considered.
