TORONTO, April 25, 2008 -- The Honourable Donald H. Oliver, Senator, on behalf of the Honourable Jason Kenney, Secretary of State (Multiculturalism and Canadian Identity), will join the Black Business Professional Association for the 2008 Harry Jerome Awards celebration tomorrow.
"On behalf of the Government of Canada, congratulations to the 2008 recipients of the Harry Jerome Awards," said Secretary of State Kenney. "Your distinguished achievements serve as an inspiration to us all."
"Organizations such as the Black Business and Professional Association, and recognition like the Harry Jerome Awards, play an important role in acknowledging the outstanding contributions of the black community in Canada," said Mr. Oliver.
