The Honourable Jim Flaherty, Minister of Finance, will visit New York City on April 23 and 24, 2008, to meet with senior members of the business community and address the Canadian Association of New York.
Minister Flaherty will be the guest speaker at a luncheon hosted by the Canadian Association of New York on Wednesday, April 23.
The Minister will speak about how Canada's economy is positioned to meet the global challenges ahead.
The event will take place at the New York Yacht Club, 37 West 44th Street. The Minister will speak at approximately 1:15 p.m.
There will be a question-and-answer session with members after the Minister's address, followed by a media availability at approximately 2:00 p.m.
