The Honourable David Emerson, Minister of International Trade, today announced the appointment of Adam Chowaniec to the Board of Directors of Export Development Canada (EDC).
"Mr. Chowaniec's leadership experience in the information technology sector makes him an ideal candidate for the EDC Board of Directors," said Minister Emerson. "His expertise and knowledge will be great assets to EDC and will contribute to the organization's continuing success as it supports Canadian companies that operate internationally."
Mr. Chowaniec is the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Tundra Semiconductor Corporation. He is also Chair of the Ontario Research and Innovation Council and executive in residence at VenGrowth Capital Partners Inc. In 1999, Mr. Chowaniec was named Business Person of the Year by the Ottawa Chamber of Commerce.
