On Thursday, April 17, 2008, Lt.-Col. Robert Chamberlain, who recently returned from a one-year deployment as Commanding Officer of Canada's Provincial Reconstruction Team in the province of Kandahar, will provide an on-the-record overview of the challenges and opportunities facing Canada's mission in Afghanistan.
Senior representatives from Foreign Affairs and International Trade Canada, the Canadian International Development Agency and the Department of National Defence will also be present during the briefing (not for cameras; attribution to senior government officials).
