GATINEAU, Quebec, May 23, 2008 - Public Works and Government Services Canada wishes to advise all motorists that one lane of the Des Allumettes Bridge in Pembroke will be closed from 9:00 a.m. on Monday, May 26, to 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 29, 2008. The schedule may change subject to weather conditions.
One lane will remain open to traffic at all times and two directions of traffic flow will be maintained. To ensure safe passage for vehicles, traffic will be controlled using traffic lights on each approach to the bridge.
This lane closure is necessary to conduct general maintenance on the bridge. Public Works and Government Services Canada apologizes for any inconvenience this lane closure may cause.
