Public Sector Integrity Commissioner Christiane Ouimet's first annual report will be tabled in Parliament on Wednesday, May 28, 2008.
The report outlines the work of the Office of the Public Sector Integrity Commissioner from its establishment on April 15, 2007, through to March 31, 2008. It describes the role and mandate of the Commissioner, her approach, her activities to date and her emphasis on education, outreach and prevention.
The Annual Report outlines the types of inquiries received and provides examples of the types of investigations undertaken, describing how the issues were resolved. Organizations involved will not be named.
The report will be available in electronic format at www.psic-ispc.gc.ca. The Commissioner will be available for interviews following the tabling of the report, starting at approximately 3:15 p.m.
