The Honourable Jim Flaherty, Minister of Finance, will address the International Conference on Financial Education on Thursday, May 8, 2008, in Washington D.C.
The conference, which is closed to the media, is hosted by the U.S. Department of the Treasury and the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development. The theme of the conference is Taking Financial Literacy to the Next Level: Important Challenges and Promising Solutions.
Minister Flaherty will hold a media availability after his address at approximately 10:15 a.m. at the Canadian Embassy, 501 Pennsylvania Avenue N.W.
