The Jules and Gabrielle Léger Fellowship for 2008 will go to Denis Saint-Martin, associate professor at the Université de Montréal. The 12-month, $50,000 award will support Saint-Martin's research into why different government commitments to public accountability are viewed with varying levels of credibility by the public. A Fulbright Fellow from the Kennedy School of Government and winner of the Herbert Kaufman Award in 1999, Saint-Martin has written books on public administration, including Building the New Managerialist State.
