The Honourable David Emerson, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Trade, today issued the following statement condemning the car bomb attack on the Danish embassy in Islamabad, Pakistan:
“On behalf of all Canadians, I wish to convey my condolences to the families of those killed in today’s attack. I wish a speedy recovery to the injured.
“Canada strongly condemns this deplorable act of violence against the Danish embassy.
“Pakistan is an important partner in combatting terrorism. We will continue to work with all international partners in the fight against terrorism.”
