OTTAWA, June 25, 2008 -- The Honourable Jim Prentice, Minister of Industry and Minister responsible for the Business Development Bank of Canada (BDC), today announced the appointment of Mr. Henry Lee to the Bank's Board of Directors.
"Mr. Lee will be of great value in our ongoing efforts to support entrepreneurial success and growth in Canada," said Minister Prentice. "I welcome Mr. Lee to the Board of the BDC."
Mr. Lee has extensive experience as a member of the boards of various organizations in the Vancouver area, including Chairman and Chief Elected Officer of The Vancouver Board of Trade and former Director and Executive Committee Member of the Downtown Vancouver Business Improvement Association.
Mr. Lee is currently the President and Director of Tom Lee Music Company Ltd. He holds an Master of Business Administration from the University of Toronto and a Bachelor of Applied Science (Civil Engineering) from the University of British Columbia.
