OTTAWA, June 26, 2008 – The Honourable Christian Paradis, Minister of Public Works and Government Services and Secretary of State (Agriculture), announced today the appointment of Mr. Robert Presser as Chair of Defence Construction Canada (DCC).
"I am very pleased to announce the appointment of Robert Presser as Chair of the Board of Directors of Defence Construction Canada for a term of five years. He has extensive experience in both the private and public sectors and will add vision and guidance to the Board," stated Minister Paradis.
Mr. Presser holds an MBA from the Ivey School of Business and a Bachelor of Commerce in Finance and International Business from the University of Montreal. He is currently Vice President of Marketing and Product Manager with Acme Engineering Products Ltd of Montreal. Previously, he was a Strategic Management Consultant for Group Secor providing services to Bell Canada and Bombardier. He is also a member of the Executive of the Canadian Jewish Congress, Quebec Region.
Defence Construction Canada (DCC) is a federal Crown corporation, which reports to Parliament through the Minister of Public Works and Government Services. The corporation provides contracting, construction contract management and related infrastructure services to the Department of National Defence.
